DDR2 FBDIMM Support on the RAMCHECK
 Fully Buffered DIMMs (FBDIMMs) are a new type of memory that we believe will be widelt accepted in the years ahead. It is particularly suited for "extreme use" environments such as server farms and networks where stacking memory is common. Unlike standard DIMM modules (connected in parallel to the memory controller), FBDIMM modules are connected in a "point-to-point" serial architecture. This, and other improvements over standard DIMM technology, means the FBDIMMs provide a much more reliable platform for memory-intensive applications. Our goal at INNOVENTIONS is to support FBDIMM DDR2. Based on initial engineering studies, we believe the current RAMCHECK base unit will be able to support FBDIMM testing with a special adapter.
