RAMCHECK LX Server Memory Tester
"Server memory" is simply memory that is designed to be used in servers. Sometimes it can be used in standard desktop PCs, but in general it is designed specifically for servers.
Server memory is meant for mission-critical settings, with robust designs that reduce the likelihood of failure. Its high module density (256GB modules are currently available) and lower voltage requirements, combined with higher data rate transfer speeds, result in high server memory prices. While regular PC and laptop memory is relatively inexpensive, server DIMMs typically cost hundreds, even thousands of dollars.

Data centers have thousands of servers. When a server fails, techs look at many culprits. Even with robust designs, the memory component may be the cause. That's where the RAMCHECK LX is a benefit. It provides the data center tech with ability to quickly test and identify the server DIMM, eliminating (or confirming) defective memory as the cause. This saves the technician's time and the data center money. Testing on a server motherboard takes hours (or even days!) while testing on the RAMCHECK LX takes just a few minutes (or less!)
INNOVENTIONS provides a number of different tester packages, each bundled with various adapters a data center may need. Our most popular package is currently the RAMCHECK LX DDR4 PRO/DDR3 package. It consists of the RAMCHECK LX base tester, DDR4 PRO DIMM adapter and DDR3 DIMM adapter. It tests ECC, non-ECC, registered, and unbuffered options that available for server memory, including LRDIMM common in servers.
To use the RAMCHECK LX, simply insert a module into the test socket and press the blue Start button. That's it. RAMCHECK LX automatically identifies the module and runs the tests, giving you the results via tones, LED lights and a very bright, crisp, black-on-white display. You can even connect the RAMCHECK LX to a PC so you can print the test results.
Some older servers (circa 2005) use a DDR2 technology referred to as FB-DIMM. These fully-buffered modules are not supported on the RAMCHECK LX.
