RAMCHECK DDR Pro Adapter

Q: What is the highest frequency supported on the DDR Pro adapter?
A: Currently the DDR Pro adapter can test up to 466MHz.

Q: I currently have your older DDR Series adapter. Can I upgrade this to the DDR Pro adapter?
A: Yes, we can convert your older DDR Series adapter to the DDR Pro. This process includes a free RAMCHECK upgrade, bringing your memory tester to current factory specifications.

Q: My RAMCHECK PLUS PRO is passing a few of my modules that fail in PC motherboards. Is there a way to toughen the test compare to the RAMCHECK's default or auto mode.
A: Yes there are four parameters that you can manually change, Frequency, Voltage, Refresh and CL Setup. There are two ways to do this "SETUP" and "Change on the Fly" the easiest way to change these parameters is by the "Change on the Fly" method. You simply press F2 anytime during the Basic Test, this will halt the test and display the "Change on the Fly" menu. Please note changing this parameters using the "Change on the Fly" method will only take affect on the module you are currently testing. Once you end the test and press F1 to start the Basic Test again the RAMCHECK will automatically switch back to its auto mode unless you use the "Change on the Fly" method again.

F1 = Frequency
F2 = Voltage
F3 = Refresh
F4 = CL Setup

For example one way to toughen the test is to start the Basic Test like you normally do so you can detect the speed of the DDR device through RAMCHECK's auto mode then press F2 then F1 for Frequency and select the same frequency detected by the RAMCHECK which should be already displayed if not use F2/F5 to select it. This will lock the frequency in place even through the extensive and auto loop test disabling the auto mode, you can also adjust the frequency up one level to check the tolerance and/or quality of the module in case your PC board might be over clocking. For the CL setup, the Ramcheck is its auto mode toggles between CL=3 & CL=2.5 or CL=2.5 & CL=2 depending on the frequency of the DDR module. You can go into the "CHANGE on the FLY" menu explain above but press F4 and change this to for example to CL=2.5 only or CL=2 only or CL=3 only depending on how your PC Board is setup in its BIOS. You also have the option to change the voltage in the same matter by pressing F2. Some older PC2700 modules for example might be rated at 2.7 volts instead of the standard 2.5 volts.
